Meet Sarah Rosado, a name synonymous with creative art that pushes boundaries. From Manhattan, New York, Rosado is more than just a talented artist; she’s an imaginative force, a visionary who has redefined the art world’s standards. How? By turning your ordinary breakfast of cereal bowls into extraordinary celebrity portraits!
Sarah Rosado is a self-taught artist and photographer based in New York City. One day while eating cereal and listening to R&B music, she got inspiration to create portraits using nothing but cereals.
‘’This new project which I named “Celebrity Cereal Portrait” was created using corn flakes shaped into celebrity images. The process involved a tremendous amount of time and effort. One day while eating cereal and listening to oldies and R&B music, the idea to create celebrity faces with cornflakes was born; “because music has never tasted so good”, I thought.
The process is pretty tedious. It takes about five hours to create one piece. A sketch of the artist is first drawn, the cereal is crushed in different sizes and carefully placed along the sketch. A pin is then used to carefully shape the nose, eyes and mouth. I love creating and experimenting with new ideas and challenging myself. It’s a drive that pushes me to a different level each time which is very rewarding.’’ – by Sarah Rosado
